Pune, September 12, 2017 – Kinetic Green, India’s largest manufacturer of electric three-wheelers has entered into a strategic partnership with SmartE, the country’s first and largest shared electric mobility company, to introduce 10,000 electric three-wheelers across the country within the next 18 months.
Under this partnership, the first batch of 500 vehicles has been rolled out in Gurgaon in collaboration with Delhi Metro Rail, HSIIDC and Rapid Metro Gurgaon. The service was flagged of by Honorable Minister for Road Transport & Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari recently and has received tremendous response from passengers of Metro as a convenient, safe and affordable last mile connectivity solution. In the coming months, this service will be rolled out in multiple cities across the country.
Speaking on the importance of this collaboration, Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder & CEO of Kinetic Green Energy & Power Solutions, said, “Kinetic Green’s mission is to provide green mobility to the masses. Given that three wheelers are a primary mode of urban public transport in the cities of India, other than buses, deployment of non-polluting electric rickshaws and autos will also reduce the pollution and carbon emissions greatly in our cities and help create a green public transport ecosystem”.

Under this strategic partnership, Kinetic will provide highly customized vehicles to SmartE, that are not just aesthetically appealing, but also ensure safety and comfort for passengers. The vehicles are being indigenously designed and manufactured at Kinetic’s plant in Ahmednagar, near Pune. The vehicles feature significant technology integration, IoT (Internet of Things) capabilities and advanced safety features, including full GPS tracking and sensor capability, with a view to offer a safe, reliable and economical ride experience to its customers.
